| A Socket (Purple) Item |
A socket is a slot that you can fill with a extra options, which will make your character much advanced and more powerful.
Any item with a purple name is a socket item and can have a number of sockets ranging from 0 to 5.
Sockets can also be added via the Item Upgrade with paid items only. These cost 1000 credits for 1 socket.
Socket item
A socket item is an item with a purple name and may have 0 to 5 sockets.
A socket item can not have the same kind of seedsphere option twice. You can use 2 fire spheres for example but only if they both have a different option on them.
Socket items do not have the risk of being destroyed, or "failing" when applying or removing seedsphere's.
Please note that they can still break when upgrading in the Chaos Machine above+10-15 level.
Sphere
A sphere is simply an empty seedsphere. It is worthless on its own. But when combined with a vital seed its value increases significantly. To find out what are seeds look below. There are 5 different kinds of spheres.
| Chipped | Flawed | Natural | Flawless | Perfect |
|---|---|---|---|---|

The better your Sphere, the better option you get when you combine it with a seed. An example would be 15% Agility rise, but using a Perfect Sphere will give you a higher 30% Agility Rise. (This is only an example)

Seed
Seeds are very important and have more variety than a sphere. You can learn how to create them below. There are 6 different kinds of seeds.
- Fire
- Water
- Earth
- Wind
- Lightning
- Ice
Every kind will give you different options. Look below on what these are.
Seedsphere
A seedsphere is an item that can be created by combining a seed with an empty sphere and then socketed into an item.
There are many different kinds of seedspheres. The kind of seedsphere you get depends on the combination of seed and sphere.
Seedspheres can differ by quality, element and option.
Quality
The quality of the seedsphere determines how high your option will be when you apply it to an empty socket in a socket item.
For example on the Excellent Damage Increase option, a chipped seedsphere gives +15 while a perfect seedsphere gives +40.
Elements
There are 6 different elements of seeds:
- For armours: Water, Wind, Earth.
- For weapons: Fire, Ice, Lightning.
Every element gives you a different category of options.
Options
Within each element, there are several different possible options all following the same theme.
For example, fire seeds give various types of damage increases while wind seeds give higher resource caps and regeneration to health, mana and AG.
Creating a Seed
Seeds are jewels that are created at the Seed Master NPC. They are the core of the socket system. They each have a variety of attributes. (Look at the Table on the right) Components needed:
- 1 Excellent Item + 4 or more
- 1 Ancient Item + 4 or more
- 1 Jewel of Harmony
- 1 Jewel of Chaos
- 1 Jewel of Creation
This process can fail. If it fails you will lose all your jewels. The items may lose their ancient/excellent status or go down in rank.
Creating a seedsphere
This is done by combining a seed with a sphere. You can do this by talking to the Seed Master NPC.
Components needed:
- 1 Seed (the one we created in the previous step)
- 1 Empty sphere (higher type will produce a better option)
- 1 Jewel of Chaos
- 1 Jewel of Creation
Socketing/unsocketing an item
Go to our website http://www.forsaken-mu.com and log in.
Only the seedspheres which can be socketed in the selected item are visible. For example, if adding a seedsphere to an armour piece, the website will only display water, earth and wind seedspheres in the available seedsphere list even if you have other seedspheres in your webvault.
Applying the Seedsphere
- Put the item and the seedsphere in your webvault
- Press the S (socket) button on the item
- Select the seedsphere from the list
- Press the + button by the empty socket
Removing the Seedsphere
- Put the item in the webvault
- Press the - button by the seedsphere you want to remove from the item (the seedsphere will be put back in your webvault).
This process can only be used on items with at least one socket and cannot fail.
